NorthPoint, LLC was formed in January of 2013 with the express goal of helping the business community and individuals deal with the complex rules and regulations surrounding the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
The Affordable Care Act passed in March 2010 is one of the largest and furthest reaching laws ever. The law changes nearly every law applicable to the employer-employee relationship such as HIPAA, the Fair Labor Standards Act, ERISA, the Social Security Act, the Internal Revenue Code, and the Public Health Service Act. Whether you are a large business, small business or an individual this law will affect you in one form or fashion.

Our Approach
We serve as an objective advocate for your company. We leverage our expertise to help you develop strategic benefits plans, find the right insurance products for your employees, and improve your bottom line. You can research products and solicit bids yourself, but too often, you end up choosing vendors based solely on price. Insurance reps are focused on selling you their product, so they are far from objective. The only way to ensure that you are getting expert advice and recommendations is by establishing a long-term relationship with an independent brokerage/consulting firm.
Compliance
Not only are employers concerned about the new PPACA provisions but concerns over HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA and IRS Section 125 still exist and carry penalties of their own for non-compliance. Very few people realize the potential penalties associated with these laws if their welfare plans are not administered properly. Through our integrated approach we are able to help keep your benefits all “under one roof” and properly deliver the message to your employees.
Benefits Communication
In addition to being important to maximizing your ROI; communication and documentation are going to be key for an employer when we enter the new regulatory climate under the Affordable Care Act. How you offer your benefits package to your employees will be as important as what you offer them.
NorthPoint has over 30 years of insurance experience between its Senior Partners. We are at the forefront of this quickly changing industry and we work closely with our clients because we are fully committed to meeting and exceeding expectations. We believe that no one solutions fits every situation and you can rest assured that whatever solution we present will be the best fit for your case.
We are proud that so many of our clients have repeatedly turned to us for guidance and assistance with their financial futures, and we work hard to earn their loyalty every day.
